Notheim European School is a public comprehensive high school featuring an economic orientation, integrating a variety of education forms such as senior liberal arts high school, professional high school, vocational education, with nearly 20 majors to choose from. The school's history can be traced back to 1845. Since then, it has taken on the responsibility of training quality talents for local business enterprises.

In 1996, the Ministry of Culture and Education of Lower Saxony granted the school the name "Europa-Schule" (European School). Only schools that implement the spirit of European integration, provide the opportunity to learn at least three foreign languages, participate in various European educational activities, and actively interact with European countries for international exchanges can be awarded this award.
